Delicious yoghurt + 3 ways to eat it!
My family have always been yoghurt fans and Greek yoghurt is my pick of the bunch!
Jalna yoghurt is a brand that I remember Mum eating from when I was little and this is no surprise considering the company started in Victoria during the 1950’s! Their signature creamy & thick products are the result of a pretty cool concept; ‘pot set’ yoghurt. Made fresh and set in its’ own tub – I love that.
So when Jalna reached out for us to sample their newest products, I was super excited to try them out and report back to you guys.
Being the clean and conscious eater that I am, ensuring there are no hidden nasties in products is first and foremost.
My yoghurt-loving man at home was excited to get into the Citrus Splice ASAP and reported that it did indeed taste like the classic Australian Splice ice-cream. I concurred; it was creamy and light – a fab treat!
The Sweet & Creamy style I decided to utilise in 2 different ways… as well as tasting delicious as it is, this product made its’ way into a simple dessert, honouring the Greek heritage and a heavenly smoothie recipe as well.
- 2 x spoonfuls of Sweet & Creamy Jalna yoghurt
- 1 fresh fig, washed and sliced
- 3-4 raw walnuts, roughly chopped
- Drizzle of raw honey
Combine all elements in a pretty bowl and enjoy immediately.
Simple, delicious and although it tastes (and looks!) totally indulgent; is a wonderful & clean dessert option.
Although day-to-day I enjoy Greek Natural yoghurt, it was fun to try new options. The possibilities are endless with yoghurt so get creative.
